This site is primarily geared toward MN12 owners, that is owners of 1989 through 1997 Ford Thunderbirds and Mercury Cougars. MN12 is simply the platform designation. It stands for Midsize North American Project #12.

• Changed the spark plugs
  A little over a week ago I changed the plugs on my 96 4.6L with about 80K miles on the original plugs. The wires are original but there are no problems, so I'm going to hold off on changing them, I like how they're numbered with the cylinders First...

  Would it hurt to put a lower temp thermostat in?? Not comfortable with where the gauge rides.. Yesterday I did change the t stat and 2 coolant sensors and it lowered it some.. I noticed since I changed the ECT the fan turns on sooner than before.....
